“Carnival Royals” Chosen For The 2009 Season.

Although the Carnival season is still a few months away, Castle Cary & Ansford’s Carnival Committee is making preparations. On Friday, 10 July, it held its annual Children’s Disco at Ansford School, to select this year’s Carnival Royals. Around 50 children and their parents attended an evening of fun and music, at which the Children’s Carnival Prince and Princess, and the 2009 Illuminated Carnival Princess and her Attendants were chosen.

This year’s Children’s Carnival Prince and Princess are James Heal (5) and Stephanie Lewis (6). The 2009 Castle Cary Illuminated Carnival Princess is Emily Mitchell (10), supported by her Attendants Emily Francis (8) and Daisy Cryer (8).

Children’s Carnival organiser Anne Hallett provided the bouquets for the girls.
