Childrens Carnival

Prince & Princess 2026

To be drawn from a hat by an independent person that is not affiliated with the Carnival Society.

The winners will be contacted personally by email, announced on this website and our Facebook page.

Regulations / Information

1. The winners names will be drawn at random from a hat. There is no contest and everyone has an equal chance of winning.
2. Entry is open to any child in reception and years 1 & 2 who LIVE within 10 miles of Castle Cary. The competition is not limited to those attending Castle Cary Primary School
3. There is no compulsion on any child to enter the competition.
4. Closing date for entries is Monday, 20th July 2026.

The Prince & Princess

They will lead the Children’s Carnival procession on the afternoon of Saturday 10th October 2026 and will be invited to take part during the evening Carnival procession on the 17th October 2026.

The Prince will be provided with a special waistcoat and shirt and the Princess a special dress and bolero, which are theirs to keep.
