Castle Cary & Ansford Carnival Club Walking Treasure Hunt
There’s something irresistibly fun about following a dotted trail on a map, hunting for clues, and discovering hidden details around town.
This August, the Castle Cary & Ansford Carnival Society is inviting everyone to take part in a Walking Treasure Hunt — a relaxed, family‑friendly event designed to get you exploring, discovering, and enjoying the day at your own pace.

- Date: Sunday 23rd August
- Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
- Location: The Market Place, Castle Cary
- Entry Fee: £1 per entry
- Prize: A prize is available to be won
If you’re unable to complete the treasure hunt on the day, you can still take part. Simply head down to The Market Place, pick up a form, and return it by Monday 31st August.
What You’ll Find on the Day
It’s all about exploration, curiosity, and enjoying Castle Cary in a new way. Expect a gentle walking route with clues to solve and sights to spot. Whether you’re joining with children, friends, or simply fancy a solo wander, the treasure hunt offers a fun way to spend a summer Sunday.

Even if treasure hunting isn’t your thing, there’s plenty happening at The Market Place:
