Castle Cary & Ansford Carnival Society - Childrens Carnival Procession

The Children’s Carnival – Saturday 7th October 2023

Our wonderful Children’s Carnival is back with a new theme this year. As Disney is celebrating 100 years we thought we would like to create our own magic and join them with a Disney/ Superhero theme. As usual everybody is more than welcome to come as anything they choose. We are just so excited to see everyone’s creativity.

Make the most of the Children’s Carnival Day!

Coffee Morning – outside the Market House from 10am onwards

Why not start the day off right with a cup of Tea/ Coffee and a slice or cake or maybe a delicious Bacon Butty! There will be an array of stalls to browse and live entertainment. Your little ones might like to come and get in the Carnival spirit by having their face painted, or if face paint isn’t their thing, then maybe they would like to get creative and colour in a Disney or Superhero themed mask.

The Procession

As well as our usual wonderfully colourful procession showcasing all of our local Children’s fabulous creativity, there will be more entertainment after the procession with a circus skills workshop from Flotsam the Fool.

Kicking off from the Primary School, the procession winds through the town and ends at the Market House.  There will be road closures around the route from 3-4pm, including Woodcock Street, Lower Woodcock Street,     Fore Street and the High Street.  A diversion will be in place outside the Market House until 5:30pm.  Traffic will be directed around Bailey Hill.

WE ACCEPT ENTRIES UNTIL WEDNESDAY 4 OCTOBER!
