Meet Gold sponsors – Stonewater
Excited to bring affordable homes to Castle Cary
Leading housing provider Stonewater is delighted to announce that it will be bringing 125 brand-new affordable homes to Castle Cary, on the Wayside Farm site, now known as Mulberry Meadows.
For all of our developments we always look to employ local labour by offering employment and training opportunities. We are, therefore, honoured to be a gold sponsor of the Castle Cary Carnival 2019 and our colleagues look forward to doing more work alongside local businesses and the local community in the future.
At Stonewater we build communities, not just houses, to work towards our vision of giving everyone the opportunity to have a place that they can call home. We’ve brought several affordable developments to Somerset already and have worked hard to identify additional ways to fund improvements to amenities in Castle Cary, including additional transport options.
Residents at Mulberry Meadows will benefit from a central village green, community orchard and local play area. In addition to this, the development will feature a number of homes that will be constructed from local stone, celebrating the county’s history and offering an attractive and eclectic design that will seamlessly blend in with the village’s wider surroundings.
Work at Mulberry Meadows is now underway, and the new homes will be built to a traditional architectural style with plans to deliver a mix of one to four-bedroom houses and flats. All of these properties will be available for affordable rent or shared ownership from Spring 2020.
