Road Closures – Saturday 16 October

Most of the town centre will be closed from 6:30 – 9:00pm.  In a change to previous years, Cumnock Road/ the A 371 remains open.

Churchfield Drive/ Victoria Gardens and Florida Fields will be closed from 5:30 – 7:30pm as the procession lines up and moves off.

Emergency access remains in place.  See below for details.

Road closures for the procession route – between 6.30pm – 9pm

The following roads will be closed

  • Lower Woodcock Street, Woodcock Street, Bailey Hill
  • Fore Street, High Street, Market Place, Upper High Street, North Street
  • Ansford Road up to the junction with Catherine’s Close
  • Church Street (B3152) from the junction at Philips Garage

Outside the Market House – til 11:00pm

  • Traffic coming down North Street will be diverted up Ansford Road, onto the A371 and then Station Road
  • Traffic coming along Woodcock Street will be diverted around Bailey Hill and onto the High Street. People can then choose to go up Ansford Road, or North Street.

Roads where the procession forms up – between 5:30pm – 7:30pm

  • Victoria Park, Victoria Gardens and Florida Fields if needed.
