It’s showtime in Castle Cary this Friday!
The Vintage Varieties company are back by popular demand, following last year’s Victorian Music Hall show. This time, the theme is the music of the twenties and thirties. Cast member Bryan Hallett said, “Vintage Varieties has appeared in Cary three times already. As Time Goes By celebrates the early 20th century in song, with plenty of favourites for folks to sing along with. It’s a fast-moving and fun evening for all the family, guaranteed to have your toes tapping and hands clapping; all the joys of the age without the distraction of rickets and the Blitz.”
The show is in aid of carnival funds. It takes place in the Castle Cary’s Constitutional Club this Friday, 8 May. The doors open at 7.30 pm and the show starts at 8.00 pm. Carnival Secretary Sue Stockman said, “This is always a very popular event in Cary; we encourage folk to come in period costume, to add to the fun, but that’s not a “must” – you can just come as you are and have a good time.”
The evening includes a supper, and a splendid time is guaranteed for all. Tickets are great value at £7.50, available from Sue Stockman (01963 440472) and at the Constitutional Club, now or on the night.
