Castle Cary & Ansford Carnival Society / Events  / Children’s Carnival 2024

Children’s Carnival 2024

Saturday 5th October was our very wonderful children’s carnival. We once again had absolutely amazing weather, although a little windy the sun was busy shinning to light our way.  It was led by the CISPP Van who warmed the crowd up to welcome our entries followed by the Cygnets majorettes and then our wonderful 2024 royals Molly Mahoney & Franky Gibbs.

We had some amazing entries again this year in 6 different classes. We decide to theme it ‘ Friends of the Forest’ and were really excited to see what everybody came up with.  We had forest fairies, rabbits and friends, Snow White and her merry pals, racoons and squirrels. The creatures of the forest were out in force. The support this year was incredible and the crowds were fantastic.

Our Coffee morning before hand made a whopping £484.00 and we couldn’t have been more delighted.  So much hard work goes into the organisation of the carnival and the entries that attend and the cheering and clapping of the crowd makes it all worth it, not to mention the smile on every child’s face that is taking part.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, judges, collectors and marshals, also to our fabulous photographers we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to next year.  I wonder what theme we will come up with next!!
