Castle Cary & Ansford Carnival Society 2023 Presentation Evening

A Celebration of Winners and Charitable Causes

On the 1st March Castle Cary and Ansford Carnival Society celebrated all of our Illuminated Carnival winners and giving £1850.00 to 10 local charitable causes.

Once again this year we celebrated with a buffet style ploughman’s lunch. Everyone was very excited about the cake and squirty cream for pudding. We welcomed nearly 100 people to the Castle Cary Rugby Club and we were delighted to be able to thank so many local people, businesses and societies for their continued help and support to make another very successful carnival season.

We had some fantastic entries in 2023 and some very well deserved winners. We do hope to see everyone again this year and wish them all luck for the 2024 Carnival season.

Our Chairperson Simon Duck (Drive) and Vice Chairperson Wendy Hunt presented all trophies, cups and shields to our 1st place winners and donations to local causes.

“Our presentation gives us the opportunity to celebrate what carnival is all about. It brings our local community together and we are delighted to be able to help out other local charities. We are so grateful for all donations from local people and the very important sponsorship from local organisations and businesses that help keep our carnivals thriving” said society chair Simon Duck (Drive).

Once again we would like to thank everybody who was involved with Castle Cary & Ansford Carnivals. We had so many returning volunteers this year and some very welcome new faces. We really couldn’t do this every year without them. We are so very grateful for everybody’s time and dedication to bring the fun, lights and music to our streets. Roll on 2024!
