The Inside Track On Your 2023 Carnival Sponsors

Introducing our new platinum sponsor!   Whilst not new to the town, the James Wellbeloved factory, part of Mars Petcare, is our brand spanking new platinum sponsors.  “We wanted to show that we are very much part of the fabric of the community,”  said Safety, Environmental and Security Manager, Abbie Carr.  “We’ve always employed a wide array of Cary residents, and want to give back to the community where we can.”

Ansford Parish Council – making the Ann Hallett Children’s Carnival possible.  Ansford Parish Council have again been very generous supporters of the children’s carnival by giving us a grant of £1000.  “We are delighted to support the children’s carnival again this year” says Chris Edwards, Chair.  “Many young people’s wellbeing has been adversely affected by the continued high cost of living increasing; with our community getting bigger, it’s so important to make it as easy as possible for families and children to get involved in a creative, and rewarding community activity.”

Carnival fairy godmothers!   A huge thank you again to the carnival fairy-godmothers at The Old Vicarage.  Nicky and Bex run a property business that includes renting out the stunningly beautiful Pinkmead Estate and Vineyard.  “Castle Cary is this beautiful microcosm of community meeting agriculture meeting business and collectively they make living in this part of the world so unique.  It is the most heartfelt home we have had ever had the honour of living in.  Carnival is the opportunity for us all to come together and recognise the unique diversity this magical town has to offer and we are honoured and humbled to be able to contribute just a small part to this joyous event, where we can honour everyone’s hard work and creativity and celebrate collectively.”

Going for Gold!  A huge thank you to Battens Charitable Trust for increasing their carnival support this year and becoming gold Sponsors.  Battens very quietly support so many important charitable activities in the area.  “We love to help our local communities wherever we can,” enthuses Sally Manning, lynch-pin of the Battens office in Cary.

Our other gold sponsor is Stonewater, a social housing provider, building homes locally.  “Stonewater are delighted to be sponsoring the carnival a final year through our development at Mulberry Meadows, which is due to be completed next year.  The community spirit within Castle Cary is vibrant and the carnival is an excellent opportunity for Stonewater to show our support to our customers and the wider community.”

And thank you to Castle Cary Town Council for putting £150 towards our Public Liability Insurance and donating use of the Market House for the Children’s Carnival and evening Carnival. Perhaps not very exciting – but essential!

Silver Stars!  Once again we have a veritable milky way of silver sponsors this year.  Stonewood Builders based in the former Barclays Bank building in the centre of town, also MWI Animal Health, known to so many of us as Centaur Services – great to have their support, especially with their roots going so deep into our community.

Award-winning farmhouse cheddar makers Wyke Farms are silver sponsors this year, as is local plumbing and heating engineer Schimmel and Son, also BGW Solicitors – another local business that consistently supports the community it belongs to.

Last year brought an expansion of our children’s carnival to include Primary Schools outside Castle Cary like Ditcheat Primary, so thank you to Barbers Farmhouse Cheesemakers, based at Maryland Farm, for once again taking out silver sponsorship.

Bronze beauties!  Many local businesses have been quietly sponsoring the carnival year in, year out;  companies like our unique horsehair factory, John Boyd and wonderful Delaware Veterinary Group our bronze sponsors.

Enormous and heart-felt thanks from the Carnival Society Committee goes to every single one of these local businesses and organisations.
