Battens Solicitors – supporting our carnivals, supporting our community!

Battens Solicitors – thru their Charitable Trust – have been supporting Castle Cary and Ansford Carnivals for over a decade

“We are delighted to be able to support the Castle Cary and Ansford Carnival as a Gold sponsor.  The carnival has a long history within the town and is one of the highlights of the year. We love to help and support our local communities as much as we can and our thrilled to be supporting this event once again.” Sally Manning of the Battens office in Cary.

As Sally says, the Castle Cary and Ansford Carnival is incredibly important to our community; bringing people together, celebrating traditions and raising money for often overlooked small, local charitable organisations.

The Battens Charitable Trust (registered charity no. 293500) was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties.  In the last decade alone, the Battens Charitable Trust has donated approximately £537,000 and counting. Beneficiaries have been as diverse as local schools, youth organisations, hospitals and hospices, local food-banks, wildlife organisations, disability groups and the arts.

“It’s great to see an important local firm, showing its support for the community.  A huge thank you to Battens Solicitors and the Charitable Trust for their committed support.” Simon Duck, Chair, Cary and Ansford Carnival Committee.
